DEAD TO THE LAW The only way that we could be free from the penalty of the Law, was by death. But the death that was required, we were unable to produce. In fact, had we died 1,000 times on 1,000 crosses, it would have done no good. What we had to offer God was totally unacceptable. So, Jesus as our Substitute, as the Second Man, and as the Last Adam, could and would provide a Sacrifice that was acceptable to God. That He did on the Cross of Calvary.
